Personal Stories

The Artist

A Happy Ending

This highly artistic rhinoplasty patient created a series of sketches based on pictures he had taken of his profile. He traced the photo numerous times and modified his nose differently on each tracing. By doing this he was able to determine the type of nose that would fit his face most appropriately. The patient brought the sketches to show Dr. Splinter so that he could see what the patient desired to look like.
Although this degree of involvement is somewhat unusual, Dr. Splinter always thoroughly discusses his patients' ideas and desires. In addition, for certain procedures, a digital imaging simulation can be performed to give the prospective patient an idea what he/she may look like after the procedure. Digital imaging allows Dr. Splinter to visually see what the patient would like to look like.

Before Patient's Sketch After

Dr. Splinter performed procedures on both of the following patients before they were married. The bride-to-be underwent breast augmentation, and the groom-to-be underwent a submentoplasty to tighten loose neck skin.

  From the letters at left:

"The wedding was beautiful, thanks to you, of course! I was told I looked like a Victoria's Secret Bride!

  You do fine work!

  Thanks Again"

Dr. Splinter,

Finally found a few minutes to organize all these reprints. Thought this one was the best. If you look at it medically: It shows what a great job you did on Ross & I!

The man doesn't look or act 61!! I know, I look 21 (Ha, Ha) and a Victoria's Secret Bride!.

Give yourself & helpers a "Pat on the Back" for us. Great Job, well done!
